Membership
The IPPA or Intermountain Professional Photographer’s Association exists (among other things), to help professional photographers develop their skills, raise and improve the standard of professional photography, and to foster new and creative ideas for their business. Being active in the organization and taking advantage of the many educational opportunities sponsored by the IPPA will enhance and improve your talents as a professional photographer.
Active Member – An active member shall be a person in good standing, who earns the majority of his/her livelihood as a professional photographer, or who is the owner or manager of a professional photography business, or an official representative of such a business, or who is an independent color artist or negative retoucher. Only active members shall have the right to vote and hold elective office in this association. Active members are eligible for scholarships awarded by this organization.
Sustaining Member – A sustaining member shall be a person or firm who manufactures or distributes photographic equipment, materials, or merchandise, or who offers a service to professional photographers, or the official representative of such firms. Sustaining members shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership except voting and holding elective office in this organization and scholarships awards.
Associate Member – An associate member shall be a person who is an employee of either an active or sustaining member or someone interested in professional photography but not actively involved in the profession. Associate members shall be entitled to all the privileges of membership except voting, holding elective office in this organization and scholarship awards.
