2009 Convention Speaker:Deb Chagares

By Ryan

Corel Painter features sophisticated tools, making it the ideal software for creating original digital artwork.  Painter is one of the main stream programs for digital artists around the world, not just in the photography and art industry, but also in the graphics industry.  Ever wonder why the images you turn into paintings in Painter still look like photographs?  The reason has to do with basic art concepts that distinguish paintings from photos.  Learn which brushes are Painter’s star performers as you turn your images into watercolors and oils.  Expand your digital painting techniques with a portfolio of digital watercolor, oil, pastels, pencil sketches and mosaic images.

Deb is PPA Certified, Master of Photography and a Photographic Craftsman.  She has had several Loan Collection images and has placed in the Top Ten Indiana photographers, as well as the Top Ten at Mid-East States Regional Convention and Mid-America Regional Conference.  Deb received a bronze level Photographer of the Year award from Professional Photographers of America in 2007.  In 2006 Deb received the ASP State Elite Award for the highest scoring images as well as the best Black and White and Illustrative Award.  Deb is a nationally approved photographic exhibition judge for the Professional Photographers of America.
